Abstract

Pemanfaatan multimedia dalam pembelajaran berbasis proyek (PjBL) dapat meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dan efektivitas pengajaran bahasa Inggris. Namun, keterbatasan akses teknologi serta kurangnya pelatihan dalam pemanfaatan multimedia masih menjadi tantangan bagi banyak guru, terutama di daerah kepulauan seperti Maluku. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pelatihan yang dapat membekali guru dengan keterampilan integrasi multimedia dalam pembelajaran berbasis proyek guna meningkatkan kualitas pengajaran dan pengalaman belajar siswa. Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas guru dalam menerapkan pembelajaran berbasis proyek melalui integrasi multimedia, sehingga mereka dapat mengadaptasi metode ini sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan kondisi pembelajaran di sekolah masing-masing. Pelatihan ini melibatkan 18 guru bahasa Inggris di Maluku Tengah dengan metode studi kasus, diskusi kelompok, demonstrasi, dan praktik langsung dalam merancang materi ajar berbasis proyek dan multimedia. Evaluasi dilakukan untuk menilai pemahaman peserta, kepercayaan diri, serta tantangan dalam implementasi metode ini. Pelatihan menghasilkan 12 jenis proyek berbasis multimedia yang dirancang untuk meningkatkan keterampilan mendengar, berbicara, membaca, dan menulis siswa. Evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa peserta memiliki pemahaman yang baik tentang PjBL serta percaya diri dalam mengintegrasikan multimedia dalam pengajaran. Namun, beberapa guru masih menghadapi kendala teknis dalam pemanfaatan teknologi. Implikasi praktis dari pelatihan ini adalah guru dapat mengadaptasi dan mengimplementasikan pembelajaran berbasis proyek dengan mengintegrasi multimedia secara berkelanjutan, meningkatkan efektivitas pengajaran, serta menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang lebih interaktif dan inovatif bagi siswa.
