PENGABDIAN KEPADA MASYARAKAT DI EKOWISATA MANGROVE LABUHAN, BANGKALAN, MADURA

Ekowisata Mangrove Labuhan memiliki daya tarik pada aspek konservasi ekologi, tetapi pengembangannya masih belum optimal. Tantangan utama terdapat pada sektor konservasi mangrove yang didasarkan pada jumlah tanaman yang masih terbatas, sehingga mengurangi potensi ekologi kawasan. Selain itu, sektor pemeliharaan aset menghadapi kendala berupa kondisi fasilitas penerangan yang minim serta jalur tracking yang rusak, sehingga memerlukan perbaikan untuk meningkatkan kenyamanan dan daya tarik wisatawan. Atas dasar permasalahan tersebut, maka pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan pemberdayaan masyarakat melalui mitra Kelompok Sadar Wisata Payung Kuning Labuhan, Bangkalan. Metode yang digunakan yaitu pendekatan partisipasif dan kerja sama dengan komunitas lokal melalaui berbagai betuk kegiatan seperti sosialisasi (peningkatan kapasitas masyarakat), penanaman mangrove bersama, aksi sisir pantai, dan peremajaan fasilitas ekowisata mangrove. Hasil penanaman mangrove yang berhasil tumbuh akan menjadi aset penting dalam keberlangsungan hidup ekosistem serta ekowisata. Pengabdian ini telah mampu meningkatkan konservasi keanekaragaman hayati mangrove melalui penanaman 1.000 bibit mangrove, menjaga kelestarian alam melalui aksi sisir pantai dan mempromosikan praktik berkelanjutan melalui perbaikan di ekowisata mangrove Labuhan. Sosialisasi mengenai peran dan manfaat mangrove diharapkan mampu memberikan pemahaman baru tentang pentingnya mangrove di ekosistem pantai, serta menjaga kebersihan pantai dan mangrove. Peremajaan fasilitas wisata akan memberikan timbal balik keuntungan bagi mitra untuk beberapa tahun ke depan.
