Abstract

The problem that is often experienced by MSME players besides capital and marketing is regarding quality. This can be seen from the production process that does not yet have good quality standards, both from the process of selecting raw materials, and processing to finished products. Even though the quality is an important thing to be considered by MSMEs as the main tool in business competition. In addition, the simple form of product packaging and a small marketing scope hinder the development of MSMEs. Community service activities aim to help UMKM actors in processed milkfish products so that they are as optimal as possible in reducing the remaining products that can still be utilized so that the profits can be maximized. The method of implementing community service is carried out by providing an understanding through the socialization of the importance of product quality as well as pre-testing and post-testing participants as well as conducting a question and answer phase as feedback and measuring the understanding power of participants. The results of community service activities are very beneficial for business actors in addition to increasing understanding of the quality that must be maintained as well as being a motivation for participants to develop their business with full enthusiasm in the future, and there are more efforts that participants want to do after the activity. namely forming women's business groups, and cooperatives and registering their product brands as intellectual property rights to increase the selling power of products in a wider market and increase the profits of MSMEs. This community service activity concludes that it has a positive impact on the progress of MSME-processed milkfish products in improving and maintaining product quality.
